Doxy.me SMS Terms of Service
Effective Date: 10th October 2025
These SMS Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) describe how Doxy.me Inc. (“Doxy.me,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides text messaging services for providers and patients. These SMS Terms are in addition to, and incorporate by reference, the Doxy.me Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By enabling SMS notifications (providers) or receiving SMS invitations (patients), you agree to these SMS Terms.
Providers
Program description
When you enable SMS notifications, Doxy.me may send you text messages when:
A patient enters your Waiting Room;
A patient is waiting for you (including reminders if you have multiple waiting rooms);
Other account-related alerts you configure.

Provider responsibilities
When using Doxy.me’s SMS features with patients, you agree to:
Obtain patient consent before sending invitations or reminders;
Respect patient rights and do not send SMS invitations if a patient has not agreed, is not expecting them, or has requested that you stop;
Do not send PHI (protected health information) over SMS: SMS should be limited to invitations and reminders only;
Follow all applicable regulations (HIPAA, TCPA, CTIA, and carrier requirements) related to sending information over SMS channels;
Prevent misuse: Any fraudulent or unauthorized use of your account to send SMS messages that violate these SMS Terms, the Doxy.me Terms of Service, or the Privacy Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, where applicable.

Cost and carrier disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt-out and help (for providers)
You can disable provider SMS notifications at any time in your Doxy.me account settings.

Patients
Program description
Doxy.me SMS is used to send you text message invitations or reminders for your telehealth session. These messages typically include your provider’s name and a secure link to the provider’s Doxy.me Waiting Room.

You will only receive texts if you gave your provider your mobile number and agreed to receive text messages from them.
How to stop
Reply STOP at any time to automatically opt out of receiving Doxy.me SMS invitations or reminders.
You may also ask your provider directly not to send SMS messages.
