How do patients arrive?

Doxy.me gives patients a consistent place to arrive independently. They open your Room link, check in, and enter your doxy.me Waiting Room.

Patients can bookmark the link or save it in their contacts. Invite Via lets you send it by email or text, depending on your plan.

From your Dashboard, you see arrivals and can exchange messages before starting - even while another appointment is underway.

For recurring care, that creates a familiar destination and a clear view of who is waiting.

With Doximity, the clinician typically initiates contact. For video, the patient receives an invitation and opens it when you’re ready to connect.

Can you call patients from doxy.me?

Yes. Doxy.me Dialer on Premium lets you call patients from your Dashboard.

Patients answer a regular phone call. They don’t need strong internet access, a browser, or an app.

Dialer supports mobile and landline numbers in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. You can also add a phone participant to a Group Call.

It includes up to 150 minutes per user per day, with rate limits. Most clinical apps aren’t available during telephone calls.

What if care involves staff, caregivers, or interpreters?

Once support staff, another provider, a family member, or an interpreter becomes involved, compare how the whole appointment works.

Doxy.me Premium offers Shared Rooms and patient transfers. A staff member can prepare the patient before handing them to a provider. Group Call lets selected participants start together, with others added later when appropriate.

Doximity also has capabilities beyond individual calling. Pro supports group video and patient transfers. Enterprise adds care-team access, organizational administration, reporting, and an institutional BAA.

For select Enterprise clients, its desktop LanguageLine integration provides on-demand professional interpreting.

Doxy.me’s Interpreter app supports virtual and in-person care in 270+ languages, with separate usage charges.

What can you do together during care?

Doxy.me Premium brings clinical activities directly into the appointment, helping you explain, explore, and work through care together:

• Teleconsent: Review consent documents together and collect digital signatures

• Assessments: Complete validated mental-health questionnaires and discuss results

• CBT Activities: Work through interactive exercises developed by practicing CBT providers

• Interpreter: Bring a qualified medical interpreter into virtual or in-person care, with separate service charges

Whiteboard, Screen Share, and Photo Capture help you explain ideas and review information together. Invite Via lets you send your Room link to patients, caregivers, or others involved in care.

Scribe automatically transcribes sessions and creates clinical notes in DAP, Intake, PIE, and SOAP formats. It supports virtual appointments and in-person documentation from your Dashboard. Review and edit notes before adding them to the patient record.

Scribe is currently included at no extra charge during early access for eligible U.S. Premium users, subject to usage limits.

Doximity also offers more than patient calling. Its wider platform includes digital fax, secure colleague messaging, recruiting services, and clinical-reference support through Ask. Its own Scribe generates clinical notes and is free for eligible verified members. Availability varies by product and eligibility.
